The Salomon XA Forces 8 GTX EN Tactical Boots are waterproof, high-cut patrol boots designed for demanding professional use on rocky, technical terrain. Salomon positions them in its Forces range with a strong focus on durability, stability and protection during extended use in severe wet weather. A GORE-TEX® membrane provides waterproof protection for prolonged exposure to wet conditions. The upper combines textile and synthetic materials, while Salomon also specifies durable 2.0 mm nubuck leather. The 3D advancedCHASSIS™ sits between the outsole and midsole to optimize motion control, energy management and protection while maintaining a precise and stable ride. The EnergyCell™ EVA midsole provides shock attenuation, while dual-density construction combines cushioning with stability and motion control. A molded OrthoLite® sockliner adds cushioning, breathability and durability. The All-Terrain Contagrip® outsole is engineered for traction across wet, dry, hard and loose surfaces. The EN configuration adds anti-puncture, anti-slip, antistatic and oil-resistant properties. The upper includes a protective toe cap, a gusseted tongue, a protective mudguard, and a medial protective pad. Captive eyelets, a lace pocket and non-reflective materials further support tactical use.
