The Garmont 9.81 Onyx MB GTX is a waterproof mid-cut approach boot designed for fast movement across technical and demanding terrain. The upper combines 1.4 mm Microbuck with technical ripstop for a balance of durability, protection and reduced weight. The PFC-free GORE-TEX® ePE membrane provides waterproof protection while maintaining breathability during extended outdoor activity. A monodensity EVA midsole with ergonomic ESS provides cushioning and support, while the VIBRAM® outsole with MEGAGRIP compound and TRACTION LUG Technology delivers dependable traction on demanding surfaces. The HEEL LOCK SYSTEM is designed to reduce heel movement inside the boot, while a.d.d.® technology combines precision lacing with an anatomical tongue. The Dual-Block Sole integrates the protective rubber structure and outsole from the midfoot to the toe for improved protection and grip.
